My Bride Today was a FIREBALL

I had so much fun with her today. We almost lost the veil to a gust of wind on the roof of the Georgian Terrace. Here are just a few photos.

Plans for this years first Wedding Photography School are well under way. Stay tuned for dates and how to sign up. Looks like it will be end of September.
Good night all.

I am going to bed. Another event tomorrow.

A Few from this Months Weddings

It has been above 90 degrees every day here in Georgia for over a month. When I left the shop today the temp in my truck was 117. WHY WHY WHY do people have out door weddings in July in GA ? Lucky for me, only 2 of my July weddings were outside. Here are a few photos.

Also, we are about to announce the dates for Wedding School. 5 Days with Me and several other photographers and speakers on all things wedding photography. Class size will be very limited this year. To get the dates and to register 2 days before the announcement send me an e mail at scott@scottevans.com and I will put you on the advance e mail list.

100 Degrees of Passion

This weekend we had 3 weddings going on the same day. I shot 2 myself and our associate Donnie shot one at The Hazelhurst House. It was 95 degrees by 11am here in Georgia and it only got hotter. I left the first wedding in Atlanta at 4 and raced to the second one out in the country. In this photo, it was 100 degrees and the horse poop in the pasture was starting to make steam.

UBL DEAD

Thanks to the US CIA, Navy Seals, and I'll almost bet the 160th SOAR from Ft Campbell, KY (Seals Taxi Service) I just hope that Obama does not try to take ALL the credit.

Richmond, Va

It is very late (almost 4 am) and I just got back to my hotel after shooting this couple since Friday. It was a trying day to say the least. A whole bunch of people in the wedding party, logistic issues with three different locations at four different times, shuttle buses, 300 guests and an unenthusiastic groom. Those are the not so great points. The good stuff is that the bride was fantastic. Beautiful, cooperative, calm, gracious. Her parents were wonderful as well, so were the grooms parents. All very nice people.

I feel as if this week started on Wednesday with Janet the dogs and I huddled in the hall closet as the worst tornado outbreak in US history decided to take aim directly at my town at 1:30 Thursday morning. I tracked the storms all afternoon on Wed an am glad that I did. Just as the largest tornado was about to hit McDonough it just disappeared, just a half a mile from town.

Thursday Am I jumped in the car and drove to Richmond. Not a short ride at all. Friday was rehearsal at the church and then dinner at Country Club of Virginia (Nice Joint) and then the wedding all over the place today. I have only downloaded one camera card so I will only share one photo. I am going to bed. Thanks for reading.

A Change ?

I am getting rather board with being a "Pillar of the Community"
I think I will give that title up for a while.
