These photos are from a Bridal Portrait shoot I did last week. I just want to know if anyone likes them. Please add a comment . If adding a comment is to big of a pain in the ass because of the way that you have to "Log On" or something just send me an e mail at scott@scottevans.com

I love these, of course, I am biased cause I am her sister! I love the technique of laying over one image on the other...why couldn't you do that when I got married...darn the new technology since my big day! Honestly Scott, these REALLY are fantastic. I really love #13 too from the Bridal session from pictures you posted from the wedding. So glad to see all the pictures. You are amazing and haven't lost your eye or touch! Can I get married again? Same guy, but more pictures from you?

I like the background made from a portion of the smaller photo. I'm becoming less of a fan of the major soft focus (like in the last one), but they are all wonderful shots and wonderful layouts. Of course, I don't think I've ever seen a bad shot from you, so I'm not sure I'm the best one to offer criticism!

Say what you think. That is why I asked. Most of the soft focus on the last one is because it was shot with a 200mm at f2.8 It is the look I was going for.
I am looking for objective opinions. I was just offered a gallery show in November. The stipulation is that every photo must be shot and produced within 2 weeks of the show. I have 7 weddings booked for October so there will be no time for practice. I can make the subject matter anything that I wish. the other stipulation is that I will shoot the whole show with a 60 year old 4x5 view camera on Black and white film. Limited edition 20x24 NEGATIVES will be made digitaly and signed as limited editions on a cool plexiglass mounting. I will be posting my practice shots on the blog from time to time. When are you coming down to the house ? I might be cooking out on Saturday if you want to come over. I have some very old friends getting together to discuss some business stuff and yo are more than welcome. Oh, one last thing. One of the kids from your last years ball team is moving into the Windsong house. Jonathan will have a friend on the street.

I like them. That is cool idea about background, Where do you find the time and these locals at weddings?

I'm still watching....Super Monday was great.

Thanks Wes,
The locations are always there at weddings. Sometimes all it takes is to just turn around an look at a not so beautiful scene from a different direction.

Your photos are great!! I agree with david on the soft focus with the last one, something just doesn't feel right with that one. Again, you are an amazing photograhper.

Scott, these photos are great and I'd have to disagree with David and Travis about the soft focus. To me it plainly says beauty - Beautiful bride and location. Thanks for post your photos.

These are really great portraits! I especially like the inserts. Would it be plagiarism if I used your idea? I'm sort of just a beginner in portrait photography and am still learning. I was wondering about the second photo, it looks like a picture of a building with the bride added to give interest. The building overpowers her. But, like I said, I'm just a beginner. They're still beautiful pictures.

Use the ideas. That what this blog is really about. Sharing ideas and other silly stuff.
